Purchased Immediate pension plans from LIC, HDFC and ICICI worth Rs 900000/- (One Time Payment) during the Financial Year 2021-2022. I have entered the whole amount in the box (Payment to Annuity Plan of Pension fund like LIC), then calculate anticipatory income tax for the FY 2021-2022. The whole amount is deducted from the Gross Income. Is that true. If it is true , kindly mention the Rule under which it is deducted. |
ecostatt |
Sir, Will check and let you know. |
ecostatt |
Actually, this comes under 80C and the maximum limit is Rs 1,50,000/-. Necessary changes will be made in the software shortly. |

sir,
while calculating Anticipatory income tax for FY 2021-22, Mediclaim in Deduction details No.4 explains ( Maximum of Rs. 25000+parents Rs.25000/30000). suppose I have a mediclaim of Rs. 20000/- and My parents including me have another mediclaim of Rs. 30000/-.My doubt is that whether Rs. 50000/- ( 20000 + 30000 ) can be deducted from my gross salay , if not which amount can be deducted from my gross salary? |
ecostatt |
Yes, Rs. 50,000/- can be deducted. |
259. Ansari K - 11/06/2021, 15:32:28 |
My taxable income for FY- 2020-21 is Rs.395000/-.A balance of Rs. 104999/- can be accounted without Income tax for FY- 2020-21.Taxable income in Anticipatory statement for FY 2021-22 is Rs.896980/-.Out of which Rs.180749/- is the arrears of DA and deferred salary. Arrears taken for each financial year for the preparation of 10E.Amount in split statement for FY 2020-21 is Rs.136964/-( Arrears of DA- Rs.75038/- + deferred salary- Rs.61926/- ). My doubt is that " whether it is possible to account Rs. 104999/- out of Rs.136964/- instead of Rs.136964/-" in FY 2020-21 for 10 E calculation? |
ecostatt |
No, in 10E calculation, you should account the full amount (Rs. 1,36,964/-) for the FY 2020-21. |
ecostatt |
Arrears of DA and deferred salary that we are getting this year are income for this year itself and should be shown in this year. But actually, the Arrear DA corresponds to the FY 2018-19, 19-20, & 20-21 and deferred salary to the FY 2020-21. So in 10 E, these split ups should be shown in the tax calculation for the corresponding year itself along with the taxable income for that year. |
ecostatt |
Important Note: Form 10E should be calculated only after calculating the tax for the FY 2021-22. |

You include 2 blank space to add for the FY 2021-22 and not for this year. Subsequently calculations in some departments is from April to March salary or pension .the space is from March to feb. |
ecostatt |
For this year, you can enter the data in any of the deduction columns that doesn't belongs to you and after taking the print out, you can manually correct the printed item with yours. Pensioners can enter the income details from April to March (in March-Feb column). There is a separate link for printing tax statement from April month onwards. |

sir, pls upload new anticipatory income tax calculation for 2021-2022 if there is any mistake in given anticipatory income tax calculation for 2021-2022 |
270. jsltvm - |
for example ,Assume an Employee have a Basic Pay of Rs.62200 ,Then his DA (@7%) will be Rs.4354. Then Salary will be (Salary=Basic+DA) Rs.66554 . He is paying rent of Rs.9000/- .As per your replay regarding Rent Deduction:-
(i) Actual HRA (Rs.6220) Received the year-6220*12=74640
(ii) Actual rent paid in excess of 1/10 th of the salary= (9000*12)-(66554*12*.1)=RS.28135
(iii) 40% of the salary=66554*12*.4=Rs.319459/-
in this example condition 2 is the lowest. But as per your Anticipatory calculation i am getting a wrong Amount. Pls try with this example. and check the Anticipatory Income tax statement for 2021-2022 calculation |
ecostatt |
OK. Sir |
271. jsltvm - |
while calculating Anticipatory Income tax statement for 2021-2022,the calculation for deducting HRA (for Employees who are living in rented house) is showing wrong data. ie if we enter actual rent and salary(Basic=DA) we get wrong data. 40% of salary will be high, but is showing very very less amount. pls check it seriously |
ecostatt |
Sir, The total rent paid cannot be deducted. For rent deduction, first, the following 3 calculations are made. (i) Actual HRA Received the year (ii) Actual rent paid in excess of 1/10 th of the salary (iii) 40% of the salary. And only the lesser amount among the three is deducted. |
